Seared Ahi Tuna
This sesame seeds crusted ahi tuna is tender and flavorful. Pan seared so the inside remains moist, then sliced and served on a bed of a fresh green salad drizzled with a delicious pungent dressing, it is so easy to prepare and will look like it just came from a fancy restaurant!
Seared Ahi Tuna

Ingredients
- 1 pound ahí tuna
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - 1 tbsp sesame oil
 - 2 tbsp toasted white sesame seeds
 - 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
 - Juice of 2 limes
 - 2 tbsp rice vinegar
 - 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
 - 2 tsp freshly grated ginger
 
Instructions
- Pat the ahi tuna dry then sprinkle with some salt and pepper and drizzle with the sesame oil.
 - Mix the black and white sesame seeds and spread them on a flat plate.
 - Coat the tuna all over with the seeds.
 - Heat a grill on high. Sear the tuna for 1 minute on each side.
 - Remove from the heat and transfer to a cutting board.
 - Slice into 1/2-inch thick strips.
 - Place the tuna strips on a bed of greens.
 - Prepare a dressing by mixing the lime juice with the vinegar, soy sauce and ginger.
 - Drizzle the dressing over the tuna.
