Mini Cheeseballs

These tiny appetizers are the perfect way to cheer the new year. Bursting with flavor and a variety of textures, they are scrumptious and will leave your taste buds asking for more! Be creative and choose the coating of your choice, from toasted nuts to dried fruits or savory aromatic herbs and spices. It will all add to the cheesy goodness and please any crowd!

Mini Cheeseballs

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 cups hard white cheese of your choice (white cheddar, Parmesan, Gruyère…)
  • 1 cup crumbled feta or goat cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 cups of coating of your choice (toasted chopped pecans, walnuts, pistachios, walnuts. Almonds, zaatar, dried apricots, chopped herbs...)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment Paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, honey, hard white cheese, feta, salt and pepper, orange and lemon zests.
  3. Use a 1-inch cookie scoop to portion out the mini balls.
  4. With your wet hands roll the balls and place them on the prepared sheet. Cover and place in the fridge to chill for 2 hours.
  5. Spread the coat you chose on a platter and roll the balls until evenly coated.
  6. Present on a nice serving platter surrounded with crackers or in individual cups with toothpicks.
  7. Serve at room temperature and enjoy!
